chose the repsol because of its look to be honest, seems to be more rare and badass looking than the other two, all three nice, but the repsol is baaad

I guess its the off season syndrome kickin in

c) 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 (yellow/black) - $7500

Assume all are completely stock, clean and free title, less then 2000 miles & never been dropped.

Although i'd prefer answers like "the R1 coz its better handling" or "the repsol coz its got better midrange", However answers like "uhh the GSXR 1000 coz i like it" are totally fine aswell.

Thanks in advance..
OK, let see, well the GSXR most likely has the most mileage, we are currently in the year 2008 remember!! So the The suzusucki has the least resale value of all of them, the Yami is a good bike, I had an 2004 R1 with 29,000 miles on her!!! But I currently ride a 2006 CBR 1000rr and it instils confidence in all aspects of a ride, comfy, fast, sexy, and does some real easy wheelies, long wheelies!!!!

Patrick makes a good point about sitting on them and getting a feel for the ergos.
It didnt really influence my decision, but in retrospect the GSXR was the bike for me in the ergonomics department. The GSXR seat is very narrow and allows the rider to put their feet down easier than a lot of liter bikes. I rode an 06 R6 and was only able to put one foot down at a time due to the wide seat. This probably wouldnt be a big deal on a trackbike, but on the street I think its pretty crucial.
Its little factors like seat height/width that really add up when you start getting some miles in the saddle.

oh...and GSXRs just kick too!

Nopes.

Just seeing what and how MH votes about these 3 bikes.

I am amazed to see that the GSXR is not winning in the voting department, given that this is MH and most guys in Houston ride GSXRs i figured it'd be not contest.

Guess i was wrong.

PS: Guy's when ever it just says R1 50th Anniversary Ed, it means its the well 50th edition , if it says R1 LE then it's the LE. That's how they are refered to. R1 50th Ann. Ed or R1 LE.

Obviously i'm talking about the R1 50th Ann. Ed. the R1 is in a total different league with its ohlins and etc etc.

there you go, you heard it from the pro. Liter bike of the year plus Patrick's approval has to say SOMETHING!

The corner handling is there to get you from one straight to another.

All things being equal, torque rules and Suzuki rules Torque!!!!!

FTW!!!

Moe, why are you always asking for other people's approval when you are looking at getting another bike? Why don't you just get something that you like from a personal standpoint? If you go by what people tell you, then you may never end up being satisfied with what you end up getting. All of the bikes are comparable. So go with the one that best suits you and your budget.

Brian, no harm in getting people's opinion. In the end i'll get what i like, but its always good to ask around, in discussions like these things pop up that can always be a pro or con and could have an effect in what one picks.

Long time ago i created a similar post in terms of 600cc bikes, The votes went towards GSXR 600, but i ended up getting an R6 - which i rode several thousands of miles before selling.

So this time i'm posting for 1000cc bikes. You all know me and know i'll pick the R1 50th Anniversary hands down, but after selling one 50th Anniversary bike and getting another one - eh, does'nt quite click with me. :/: That's why i'm getting opinions.

I'm afraid some of my buddies will rape me if they saw me on a Honda Repsol ! That also Nicky Hayden's replica! But i've ridden Hondas before and they are a really good compromise between the raw power of a GSXR1000 and the great handling of an R1.

I'm still confused. But we'll find out soon enough.
