1981 ATC 185 S at age 9, bought for the grandkids by grandma. No suspension, semi auto, ridden only at the beach. Dad sold it two weeks later..."too dangerous". By age 11 I had saved up enough for my own dirt bike. 1983 KD 80M. Served me well until I sold it at age 23. My friends in college used it to "commute" from frat house to frat house across campus on the weekends.

First streetbike, 1983 Honda Hawk 450 bought in 1989 at age 18. Scary fast compared to my 80cc dirtbikes. It jumped over train tracks, could wheelie with the clutch, and only needed the carbs rebuilt once a month due to rust in the tank. Cost a whopping $450 with 11,000 miles.

My next bike, a beat to Interceptor 500, rocked in comparison.

First new bike, Bandit 400, still wish I had it.

I started riding at 33- only been riding about six months. I have a Honda Nighthawk 250. I didn't choose it, it just sort of fell into my grasp. I'm glad I started on the 250, but I already want something bigger.

Welcome!

Also took msf at Awesome Cycles- best decision I've ever made!

Grew up with a few dirtbikes, and bought my ZX-6R at 22. I LOVE the bike now, but in all honesty, it was probably way too much to start street riding on.
