Me and the wife. She actually picked the gixxer we have now. I hope to buy a Bandit or something this summer so we can ride together or go to a meet and I have the little princess on the back of the Bandit.

Very, very short list for me. It has not so much to do with whether or not I trust the person, but moreso a liability issue. Relatives, best friends (in which case, I need to be friends w/ their family as well), etc. are ok, but if I do not know the person well enough, then loan the bike, then something bad happens (even if no fault of the rider), then a whole can of worms may open up. I may trust the person as a rider, but it's still a high-risk activity, and it would be the cagers I need to worry about (just as if it were me on the bike). I could get sued by the rider, his/her spouse/parents/etc., etc., etc., and I have too much to lose if that were to happen.

I have a short list of people I let use my things.

Chris (solracer) was kind enough to let me use his 600rr when my bike was stolen. I, in return, let him use my s2000. He's one of maybe 3 people I'd trust to use my things and return them in the same condition.

Exactly!!

The only person that get's to take either of mine out for a spin is the ex. And luckly that's only been a handful of times, he'd rather ride his 750.

It's a very short list,

bad seems to happen when you let other people ride / drive your stuff..

I had a friend total my trans am, a another friend trow a rod in my mustang another one blew up the clutch and another friend break a piston in my old CR.

So I am reluctant to let people use my stuff to say the least.....

nope. i wont ride anyone elses bike either. i dont want to be responsible for damaging someone elses bike and if mine gets damaged it will be my fault(unless of course a cage is at fault).

Let my wife ride my current bike at week 3 from the dealership. She took a couple passes by the house, then rode the corner down the street with a knee down. She was in squid attire. Never again!

She can ride it whenever she wants. The rest have to be on my select list.
