How is Grandsport for Noob?

Looking at getting out to experience a few more tracks in 2008. Did noob event with Buck last year and have signed up for another, but have no real feel for how MSRH compares to others. Maybe a silly question but is GSS more or less forgiving than MSRH?

Although i have never been, and im sure some tyrackheads will chime in soon, I think MSRH and Gransport are good noob tracks because they are shorter therfore you can learn the track quickly. My .02

i rode there last year and in my opinion its a good "noob" track because it is not that fast or intimidating. since it was such a small track i opted to bring my motards rather than bringing my 1000rr. and i have to say that was a great decision... i had a blast !

Thanks for replies. Given that all the organizations are opening up registration, I just need to settle on a date and give it a shot.

GSS is a great "noob" track to be sure. All of above that Jody said is true- it's tight and technical.

To compare with the Mercedes course in Angleton, they're about the same. Pavement is good-great, run off is ample (a little better at GSS, especially if it's rained recently, you won't sink at GSS), course is tight and relatively flat (no "blind" corners due to the tracks being flat).

Come on out, it's a great track for people of all skill levels. I can't wait to wring out my bike there next month.
