is there a leather "dye"?

i bought a used pair of leather pants that are mostly black but have some white and red accents. if there was a way id like to make them solid black. is there such a thing for leathers?

Mike, if you end up using the shoe dye, lemme know how it works for ya cause I got some red parts on my leathers as well that I'd also like to make black. Green would be sweet too.....Spraypaint?

lol. spraypaint actually crossed my mind for about a millisecond. thats how long it took me to realize it would flake off.

a guy told me at hrp that he dyed his.im guessin clothes dye.looked pretty good.he said he had done it years ago.couldnt tell

You can get leather dye at hobby lobby. that's what greg(jaxblack) and I used.

I bought lower leathers, new for 75 dollars. Frank Thomas with pretty green patches on the sides and over the knees. Those who went to HRP may remember the green leathers on the red busa... No wonder no one bought them.

The black covered it up very well. Lighter colors will show through eventually; I tried redoing an old leather jacket w worn sections that were originally silver but didn't prep the surface and its already coming off of there.

But as for the pants, they came out flawlessly; and you can wipe it off if need be right away, thats how I kept the silver lining
