Question Need Carbs- not the kind you eat

I've been on the hunt for some stock carbs for my 92 GSXR 600.

Been through several scrap yards and no luck.

Anyone know a good spot to find old carbs like this?

Did you try Sams Cycle Salvage?

If he doesn't readily have them, he can usually get what you need in a few days.

What's wrong with the ones you have?

The ones i have now aren't stock. I bought a new jet kit and still couldn't get it to line out because these carbs are way too big. I'm just trying to get the stock carbs that are suppossed to be on the bike and run the factory air box.

Somebody at one of the salvage yards said they looked like they were off a larger motor. He had some 600 carbs from a newer model and they were way smaller than what i have. And Stubbs Cycle gave me no help in identifying which carbs i have.

Are there any numbers on the side of the carbs?

They'll be small, stamped in a black or blue ink.

Yeah i have those numbers but Stubbs said they couldn't look them up based on those numbers so i didn't know what else to do. I think mine were actually etched in. I think. Either way there is some kind of number on the carbs. You have a way to figure out what those are from?

Can you bring the carbs by the shop?

I'd like to take a look at them.

Yeah i come back onshore monday so be looking for me sometime next week. My office is off of 45N and Richey Rd. What would be the best way to get over to your shop from there? I'm not that familiar with North side.
