Depends on what ur going for; flat black was adopted by manufactorers cuz its a universal color and they can sell it as 'shadowed.' meaning, no bling but just there...

I personally like the flat black, easy to clean/paint... But make sure it matches something else on the bike.... would kill if the fairings were a gloss black...

That's kinda what we're talking about. . . bikes being painted black.

And as I said, it's semi-gloss. If it was next to an actual flat black bike, you'd be able to tell a huge difference. I should know, as it used to be FLAT, Got a new tank and painted it SG, and every single person that has seen it agrees. . . . it's MUCH better.

So is semigloss what some of the kawis come with? usually their color is what I refer to as a gun-metal grey... I like the look of it.

I still wanna say f-it and go hog wild w/ the reflective white used on the side of police cars so at night I have a ghostly glow. What sux is the paint would look bad during the day; then again my cracked marble from the accident ain't too purty either

Some. The 2005 raw titanium and the 2006 candy flat raw plasma blue(my original color) ZX-6R's both had an eggshell clear. I spray painted my bike.

Nahhhhhh, still needs a lot of work. Need to pick up some smoked flushmounts and get rid of the blue ones, new sliders, and some rearsets. After that, she'll be as pretty as I could imagine.

I may go poser and put on some rimstripes and a slip-on though.
