Re: what are your feeling on all these evacuees

i have mixed feelings on this topic. it could be good for the help with jobs, but the economy will go down, the illegals keep this place going for cheap. however in this case "beggers cant be choosers" type of deal. houston's economy strives on illegal's for the cheap labor. this will not bring any revenue to the city of houston, however we might just gain some permanent residents when its all said and done..

Re: what are your feeling on all these evacuees

i am somewhat worried about that too, the police are going to really be scattered throughout this city for a while.. that will take the focus off some things.

Re: what are your feeling on all these evacuees

Iím all about helping others but, there are a few things Iíve been thinking about.
What about the spread of decease?
These guys have been surrounded by blood, urine, dead bodies and fescues (sp) for the last week.
What about all of the homeless folks from NOLA? Is this going to affect our homeless population in Houston or are we going to wait for their city to be rebuilt then release them back into the streets?
