f these people man, they dont need more handouts, they need to work more.
This is probably one of the most ignorant statements you have made. I think your making a generalization if not a stereotype.

1) Just because a family makes below 40k doesn't neccessarily mean they are on govt assistance, there's alot of different variables that you have to account for and depending on the type of people they could be penny pinchers with money in the bank. Of course defining what a family consists of ie...Dad Mom Kid they could be doing fine without any govt assistance.

2) Your 26 with no kids? And supposedly make more then 40k and have a hard enough time getting by? WOW money management man seriously. Have you talked to Dave Ramsey yet? seriously

I think your post was an intention to brag if not to post but just thought i would share my .02 cents

At any rate - Seems like 'low income' should be the last people getting their taxes done for free. Aren't they actually paying in less than anyone else?
Not only do they pay in less, they get most of it back due to earned income credit...

Some of my cousins get checks for over $4k every year, and didn't pay that much in the first place... they get all theirs, plus some of mine!

I'll just do my own. It's very simple if you don't have a lot of assets, etc. I just get my w2, my 1098 (I think it is, school loan interest), and my form from savings income. Do the 1040 on my own and file. Takes me less than an hour once I have the forms. Easy/cheesy.

yeah, but this took me 15-20 minutes (while I was getting paid) and it was filed electronically and it said I should receive a return within 10 business days....I'm all about that!

I would if I could, but I can't. Gotta do it myself or pay someone else (which I'm against).
