I want to check out the new Buell with the Rotax engine... I think that will be a great track bike!

So, how many miles you have on that thing now?

Already? I have put less than 1000 in 6 months. I don't get to ride enough.

Sweet scoot. I have ridden several Buell's in the last couple years and I always thought the engine was the big stumbling block.
I'm pretty excited about the Rotax powerplant in that beast, look forward to seein you at the track.

nice bike. is it me or all buells have the biggest brakes of all the sportbikes. are their braking up there with the best of the best? (brembo clad italians for example) always wondered.

This one has an 8 piston caliper up front, excellent braking I might add. The concept is to apply the braking pressure on the rim/tire where it has better leverage. The rotors on others have to pass thru the hub, spokes then rim/tire. Which also mean lighter weight as you dont have to beef up the hub near as much.

The ZTL braking on the new model is pretty good.
Zero torsional load is Erik's acronym.

The bike is plenty fast, quiet and very comfortable. It handles quite well, at least on my street rides.

Rotax did a great job on the linear power and torque delivery.
I have ridden quite a few fast motorcycles in my day and this bike is no slouch in the power department.
One thing for sure the stying and design evoke a love or hate relationship with most people.
I'm looking forward to riding our demo at the track. My boss and I are "sharing" one and plan on dissassembling it. Powder coating the blue frame and swingarm black and painting it like a Harley-Davidson VR1000 Superbike.
We will post pics of the project when we are finished.
Congrats on your new purchase and keep us informed on your track impressions.
