LSTD: Secure Online Registration NOW OPEN...!!!

It's that time of the (new) year again, but with an added twist!

Secure Online Registration is now open for all events in 2008. That's 18 total... Mondays, Fridays and weekends. Get your spot early and never worry about space!!

Our first event in 2008 will be Saturday, Feb. 16th @ GrandSport Speedway. Like last year, anyone wanting to obtain their CMRA racing license will be able to do so through us and get that much needed track time via our Friday practice days the day before race weekends.

As usual, we look forward to seeing all MotoHouston folks out at the track.

The site re-design looks righteous!

Sign up for all year at once?!

Guaranteeing a spot for the season without fear of getting turned away because the date is full, awesome.

Over the past several years, lots of folks have been turned away because we limit the number of folks on the track and we were full a week before the event. Sign up early and that won't happen, good idea Jeff!

Are you guys charging the full amount immediately to the cards or how are you guys handling this?

Also if someone gets faster and needs to go to A group and they are going to be signed up in B group for the entire season are they going to have to email you guys and hope that all the events are not filled up in A group?

As far as the fees, I *believe* it won't be charged until the standard 2 weeks prior to the event, but you should email wade@lstd.com to verify that.

As far as groups, yes, you will be able to move. The way to circumvent any issues with groups being full, I would email wade@lstd.com and advise him that for the next track day and however many in the future, you would like to move up.

Moving up is not an issue. For instance, if you want to move up during a track day, just get with an instructor and he'll follow you around for a few laps to evaluate you. If he/ she thinks it's a good idea, you can move up on that very day. Just follow that up with an email to Wade and let him know that your subsequent track days will be with a different group.

We'll deal with things on a case by case basis and don't really see this being an issue. In any case, as Tom said, we'll getcha in the right Group.

As far as payment goes, you will be billed when you sign up online... regardless of which event it is because that is the whole point of signing up early... to secure your spot and call it YOUR OWN.

How about a package discount? Say if we purchase 6-8 events at one time?

thanks,

BC

I doubt it, but you can email Steve, Wade, or Jeff @lstd.com to get the straight skinny.

package discounts

At the moment we do not have a package discount available.
We have always priced our events in line with the number of riders on each track. Less riders per group has always been our montra....

Something to think about. I would be more likely to register in advance for a bunch of trackdays if there was a discount involved. Heck frequent discounts are all over airlines and hotels it is just a matter of time before trackdays.

Food for thought Bill, we'll see how things shake out- there are still some things that we may implement, so hold tight- change is a bitter pill some times.

I think a good way to make some extra money is instead of discouraging wheelies at the track days, we could sell "mulligans". You can buy so many "wheelie mulligans" for the day, that way, you get to wheelie without getting in "trouble", and the TD makes extra money!

Don't know why this came to mind after reading one of your posts though....
