Tim, I'm sorry to hear that!
Hope you heal quick, give me a call if you need a good orthopedic.

+1...Nice to meet and ride with you guys...Tim, Sammy, and Mike. Sorry about the spill. I don't know if I'm bad luck or what. For the exception of 1 ride, every other group ride that I've been on since I started riding again someone has gone down.

NO, not a jinx. Last time was a guy who rode over his head. This time was a bump in the road apparently.

Blame it on the Bandit. 0 for 3... Someone else can lead next time.

Yeah, those were the last two groups rides. My first one Jason (don't think he's posted in a while) ran off the road in the Forest on his charcoal '07 R1.

Here is the site; there is a definate dip in the road, and good slide/gouge marks in the road.

Looks like the ZX12 traveled about 70 feet from the first impact marks...

MVC 011S

The scratches on the left are from TXOUTLAW, the gouges center top, from the ZX12

MVC 010S

We watched cars coming thru, and the dip would definately bottom the suspension at speed.

Yeah, there is a pretty bad bump in the road on the right side and a line through the road where they widened it in the past. I live in there also.
If I had known I would have come help also. Good thing fatkid was home.

Extremely glad to hear that everybdy is made it!

Get well soon...

Thanks guys, I'm OK. Left arm is in a sling for the next month and the docs have me a lttle drugged up. Ive got a sports med orthopedic doc I've been seeing for my finger, so I'll get in touch with him on Wed.

Luckily, I'd already taken most of the week off work, so today was no big deal. I still had about 40 hours of sick time to use by the end of the year. Erik - to many of the upper ops guys ride harleys, so I dont see our employer taking any real action against us riding. Unless they are going to make the big dogs give the HDs, pretty much anything they say to us is just lip service...

Well, after taking it apart and fixing the bent mounts here and there, the ZX12 lives again. Rode around the block and it seems fine, checked the wheels with a dial indicator and they aren't bent, frame and swingarm are fine. Only hard part that is bent is the upper fairing stay, and I twisted it back in place so that's good as well.

Looks like mainly plastics and a right side clip on, and pipe.

Thought I'd post up the current bike progress. We still have to make some "adjustments" on these aftermarket plastics and do a few other things, but it's coming along nicely.

Calling Pigpin... What the F*ck did you do?

BTW, the stickered up aftermarket tail piece is not staying. I was able to repair the stock piece, which fits much better.

Also have to decide on a color - right now it's three different shades of green, and that won't fly :/:

And BIG THANKS to Texlurch - he's been doing the lions share of the wrenching, while I'm healing up Thanks bud...
