I tried to get my daughter tickets, and actually found them, for $600 a piece! WTF!? For a teeny bopper?!

the whole thing is, even paying to go see her, WTF, I dont get it, Do kids really need 600 spent on them to see some 'teeny bopper'.

I saw a pre-teen with an iPhone a few weeks ago, WTF? I certainly did not grow up with my parents giving me stuff like that, wether they could afford it or not.

I agree! If people would stop paying those insane amounts for tickets, then prices would fall rapidly. I love my daughter, but she will never get $600 Hannah Montana tickets out of sheer principle!

I can tell you exactly with some parents buy that for their kids! Being a teacher I see it all the time! It is easier to buy, than to spend any real time with them! Sad, but true! It was bad ten years ago, but it seems like it has gotten even worse! :/:

The principle of it. That is something kids do not learn anymore. Sure our parents said the same thing about us, but it is just getting worse, eventually it will be the point of no return. :/:

That's because you are old Henry, but you don't have little kids either, well, except for James, but does he really count?

What sucks is the tickets only cost that much because of the scalping.

My daughter won't be going either, but even though she's a big Hannah fan, it's not the end of the world for her.

We need Clyde to buy our little girls some tickets. He seems to have more money than sense.

Well there needs to be a set $$ on these b/c it is for the kids .My daughter loves hanna also but i don't think it is right to ask that kinda of $$ for a " kids show " I think her people should step in & do something to make it right for everyone that wants to take their child or children to see her !!

Am I the only one who didn't miss the little liar and her mother? I mean, I know you can't afford tickets but teaching a kid to lie...

Take the tickets away, take the kid away from the mom, put the mom in jail for 24 hours - make an example, teach them a lesson because the video looks like the girl learned a lesson - How to get away with it!

All she is doing is teaching her it's ok to lie & cheat . Then later on in life when she gets arested for shop lifting ,her mom well be like" just let her go & she will never do it again " I believe she is not a good mother for this reason !!

that is so shameful, but the mother acted like she didn't care at all. The mother should be publicly whipped for sure! The sad part is the lesson she taught the little girl. But the part is how expensive the tickets are!

This was in the Chron yesterday- I almost posted this thread! They DID take tickets away...

It was an essay contest; not sure of all the rules. It may not have specified that the essay must be factual. When they asked mom, she didn't hide it, but told the truth. Maybe mom should have fought a little harder to keep the tickets...

However, if it was supposed to be a factual essay about why the girl should have the 'Best Christmas Ever', then mom should be beat (that's what happened to me when I lied). I'm not sure the little girl even knows what's going on at 6 yrs-old. Very sad. Wonder if this mom sends the kid into the store to shoplift, too?

The mom should be prosecuted for that kind of shyte. Talk about setting a great example at an early age.
