Don't forget about the quotas on procedures ... so if that particular hospital has already performed the max number of the procedure you need ... you're out of luck and have to wait for the next year. Yeah ... I'll take my chances with our "flawed" system thank you very much.

Anyone with a suggestion for a good medical plan for a self-employeed?

When I was leaving my old company, they offered me to keep my medical benefit for $1,000/month (family of four)... thanks, but really...!? :/:

what?! thats crazy. i dunno but it seems like we have hundreds of billions of dollars for a war thats is jacked up in politics right now, i know that just one of those billion could of eased alot of the financial burdens of americans struggiling to pay health care cost..

There are two sure fire ways to bring down the cost of healthcare,

1) Nationwide tort reform on medical malpractice law suits ... this will lower the premiums that doctors have to pay for their insurance ... which of course is simply passed on to us

2) End Federal government subsidies in the medical field. The more the governement "helps" to pay for something, the more the industry will simply raise prices to take in the "free" profits.

well all that money spent on war and are mostly from tax payers, i bet if we had a vote on where to spend it 90% of all people would agree to better take care of our people, but then it brings another question; we have such a bad health care system why? because we are a country that is free to eat sleep do pretty much what we want, we eat crappy fast food, need to use a car every where we go, lack of excersize, pretty much lack of taking care of our own selves, im speaking from experience, i dont know i feel kind of half guilty for saying our healthcare sucks.

Bush just rejected a 35 Mulit Bill package on Healthcare for Children, but approved 56 Bill more for Iraq the same week. We definitely have the ability to utilize our healthcare and resources, but definitely do not have the brains in office to see it.
