Lightbulb What would it take?

To get rid of some of the BS on this site? Ex. PW threads and people's worthless threads/posts who AREN'T using COMMON SENSE......Which happens to be a FORUM RULE!

I'm sorry but I'm tired of sifting through the BS threads and the good/informational threads.
I'm here to go on rides, get good deals from our GREAT sponsors, buy/sell stuff to/from locals, sign up for meets and meet new people, sign up/ get info for TD's, support those in need, and absorb as much knowledge as I can about motorcycles and the technique of riding.

Go BS with your friends on Myspace and AIM. Just a little tired of seeing the PW threads every time my page refreshs, it's also the BS threads that people put up that are simply worthless.

I'm curious how many lurkers got a bad impression of this site when they see a bunch of PW's, PW threads, and then of course the worthless threads.

Also curious about some of the NEW members who joined and rarely post up b/c there's so much BS going around. Seems like there's a lot of good threads and info that just gets buried in all this MESS!..... Why do you think I RARELY post on some of the other local forums....hmmmm b/c theres lotsa super BS goin on No pun intended

Come on MotoHouston....It's time to take out the trash and stop the friggin pollution.

Let the haters hate but I'm sure the OG's feel me on this one.

People will always have a comment for everything. Some are good, some are bad, some are worthless, some are funny. this is part of an internet communication.

I hate to bring this to your attention. If motohouston cut useless threads and mandated cycle only chatter this site would be dead. I frequently have to wait a day or so for responses from other forums because they are so slow. I think the popularity of MH partly lies in the fact that it is so busy and populated in here.

If you don't like what you see, don't read it, or go somewhere else. Don't come on here and try to change the way this forum operates. Nikka please!

True! But he does have a point! PW is all part on MH and it has its place!

Yes PW is everywhere. I too am guilty of it. But it is also what keeps the traffic going. I consider MH my "home" because I can submit a thread here and get 20 responses in 10 minutes. The several other sites I am on are lucky to get 20 responses in 2 days. Are all the responses I get thread specific? No, but that doesn't get my junk in a wad either...it keeps me entertained. This site to me also represents a place to come and meet new people and get out to find rides and M&G's. I have no problem finding those because they are in a certain section. I happen to find MH boring these last few days because GB toned down the crazy threads and several people got banned so it has been subdued around here. These are just my opinions and you know what they say about those...

It would be nice, but will never happen. It's like trying to gain world peace. I think you have good points, but these things are also part of life in general. It just has to be delt with personally by either not logging in or ignoring it.

PWing has been limited to 1 forum - the "Off-Topic Section" which is...just that - Anything un-moto related.

The new members don't post up because of all the BS - they may not post up in fear that someone like you will say they're stupid etc.

Just my $.02...

good luck trying to trim the fat/bs/drama here.......

but I agree, without all the high traffic social interaction this site wouldn't be what it is.

Id like to see MH become MORE motorcycle related, but also have the off topic section stay on...Id just wish everyone would keep the OT stuff IN OT....it would help out tremendously and we wouldnt have to do so much moving and editing...

This way, people who JUST wanted to get moto info, would get it quickly, without having to thumb thru alot of , just to get what they NEED.

and if you look at almost ANY forum...the OT section is Huge, compared to the rest of the site.

+1 I am a pretty new member and i think BS is fine. Topics should be discussed where they fit and for the most part they are. Why does everyone keep starting threads about people starting bad threads?
