I have the Oregon Scientific, and it takes decent pics but for sound. Nothing but wind noise. I am going to take along a MP3 recorder next time and see what that does.

Think it was $150 off Ebay with a 2GB SD card. Does up to 90 minutes.

I'm curious what else there is out there? Unless the camera is positioned out of the wind, I don't expect to hear anything. I set my vids to music when I edit anyway, so sound was never an issue for me. $80-something on amazon, 2G card from Fry's for $20 or so.

I know some of the pencil cams that plug into a fillsize camcorder get better sound. Mine I tried filling the mic opening with foam and taping it over with vinyl tape, and it still is really annoying as soon as you start moving.

I usually dub music over as well, but there are times I would like to hear the bike as well.

you can try this:

d39a28b6

with this camera:

http://www.pma-show.com/samsung/001_Digimax_A402.html

and i get this kind of video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQa-VxQaWp8

the actual quality on hi res is better than that, but i had to reduce it to upload to youtube. and it records sound.
