"I don't want to live here because of the new law and the oppressive environment," he said. "I'll be better in my country.
excuse me? "opressive"? fine. get the f*ck out. and the arrogance of these people astounds me:

Quote:
"Everybody here, legally or illegally, we are part of a motor that makes this country run," Herrera said. "Once we leave, the motor is going to start to slow down."

you can't judge all of the illegals by one or 2 people's quotes. that would be like someone reading one of your posts and deciding all of MH is a bunch of tards jk

If I remember right, this happened around 1999. I was still living in California near LA and I went to an expo soccer game between the team USA and Mexico in the Collosium. Never in my life was I more disgusted ... all of the Mexico supporters sitting near the USA bench were throwing and yelling insults to the USA players, and when Mexico won the supporters all flooded the streets with their Mexican flags and just making a mess of traffic.

This was not like USC v UCLA or A&M v UT or even Chicago v Greenbay ... this was a simple exposition game between USA and Mexico ...

I would bet dollars to donuts that at least 50% of the Mexican supporters were "undocumented workers". I understand having pride in where you're from and all ... but sheesh ... at least try and pretend like you like us ...

Any idea if Texas will plan on adopting this law?

The idea of putting the responsibility on the employers is not new. The problem will be in enforcing that.
Some small construction company may not have the resources to prove that a given employee is legal. I mean, what if the guy shows an ID how does the employer know if it's fake?
Does the employer get in hot water?
If not, then it would be easy to get the employees to all get fake IDs. Then your back at square one.
The comittment to deport is not there, the govmt is just trying to make somebody else have to pay them some money in the form of fines.

from what i understand, its if the employer is knowingly employing them. but then again, its a matter of proving that they "knew". so yeah, possibly just more money for the govt, thus giving more funds for free health care and education...all in spanish of course.

i think that's saying more about soccer than it is about mexicans. that sport, and others, seems to turn most nationalities into idiots for some reason.
