i use my rear brake all the time, even at the track going into T1 at TWS (Texas World Speedway).

I've ridden(street) without a rear brake before. Went about 2 weeks without it IIRC. I just kept a little more room between myself and the cars.

I use mine in parking lots and other low speed situations. While stopped on a hill. Otherwise, I'm all front.

I got all my habits riding a v-twin liter bike, front brakes and excessively aggressive downshifting would lock the rear briefly. I've smoothed my technique a bit since then but I still don't use rear brakes much.

I use the rear brake all the time during city riding/comuting but have not used it at the track. I saw a show where some guys rented aprillia's (i think it was) in spain and they bikes didn't even come with a rear brake.
