Rear brakes... who needs 'em?!

Seriously, would it be that big a deal to most riders (of sport bikes) if their bike had no back brake?

Like a I messed up the rear caliper (don't ask) so I thought about ditching the thing entirely UNTIL ITS FIXED.

Plus I figure I can cut about 10sec off lap times with the weight savings, anyway

On the track, maybe yes. On the street, helps a bit in emergency stops.
Either way, your bike and your life. Good luck.

At Cresson I got too much rear brake/early downshift and went a little SIDEWAYS! Scary! So I think I'm good without!

I assume you would need one to pass tech at a track-day, yes?

I don't have as much "finesse" with my foot as I do with my hands... I'm always worried I'm gonna lock it up entering a corner, anyway:nono:

I thought the back brake was only for parking on hills.

If you're scared of locking the rear, adjust the pedal so you can't push it down far enough to lock. Then you don't have to spend as much mental cash thinking about it.

90% or more of your braking is in the front....
