Exclamation photoshop help

So this is the situation for the ones knowledgeable in photoshop.

I am trying to print out a big image--a map--in photoshop, the map in its original size is huge and can't possibly fit in one or two regular sized sheets. I don't want to resize the whole image because that would inevitably result in lower appreciation of details, I need to keep its original size. Essentially, my question is if it's possibly to fragment the image into smaller constituents that would fit into one sheet for the sole purpose of printing. This is much like disassembling a big jigsaw puzzle in order to store it in a tiny box--hope this analogy contributes to a better understanding of my problem.

Any ideas on how this can be accomplished? I would highly appreciate your help... I know there are photoshop savvies in MH.

On the left side of the screen there is a tool menu. At the bottom is an outline square, and a jagged square. Those are selection tools that allow you to cut out sections of the larger pic. Then just open a new photo, paste in and save.
