It was nice to meet you PoPo. You did good for your first track day, and MSR Houston is a challenging track, both technical and fast combined. I don't know if I'll ever get to drag a knee, but gonna keep tryin! :

545bucks for me. but completly worth it. that is after the new tires, track day, oil change, rented suit w/boots and gloves. patrick (motorcycles unlimited) gives us the hook up and if i remember correctly when we rent a suit the money to rent it goes to purchasing a suit of our own

Of course you did great! You were on a HONDA! Congrats! Nothing better than spending a day at the track! Get used to all your extra money being used up on trackdays and tires! I did 14 last year and I am looking forward to breaking in the new RR on the track next year!

Hey congrats man. I was going to try and squeeze in a track day last month but the pants I ordered didn't get here until just a few days ago. Hopefully when the next season starts up. Glad you had a great time man!

trackdays CAN be expensive, but it's mostly the "starting up" cost that gets people in the wallet. Once you've purchased your leathers and additional gear, it's mainly tires, gas money (to/from the track + your bike), the track fee itself, and food/hotel costs if that's in the picture. I probably get 4 (maybe 5) trackdays out of a set of tires....some guys shred through them, some guys don't (depends on what track you are running too). Each traackday sets me back maybe 250, but in the end, it's 100% worth it...not only on the track, but the good times you'll have making friends.

Kewl! PoPo! Congrats!!! You sound like a natural! Let me know next time you go and I may go. I've got all the gear. and a Canyon Dancer for the bike. I've been to TWS (Texas World Speedway) but want to go to MSR Houston.
I'll call B Beasley and set up my day with'm. By the way, I figured you'd like the track as opposed to the track.....er.......dragstrip. I still want to hit the dragstrip sometime though.

Phil

Its like a drag strip day on steroids... its so much better... and contrary to what I used to think, the turns are WAY more fun than the straight aways... LOVED every second of it... PS I am waiting for Maxgs to send me the vids... so its a waiting game now... but like I said Cuban EVEN Gixxerbill will tell you I dragged knee and that says alot... lol... he's my buddy now
