Thumbs up My FIRST Track Day... Wow!!!

Today was my FIRST time ever on a track and all I could keep saying after every lap/session was WOWWWW!!! ONE day out there truly is the equivalent of several years of street riding experience... I learned that my bike can actually 1000 times more than what I thought it could do... NO MORE CHICKEN STIPS... I was able to lean and use ALL of my tires... not only that but all that were out there can confirm that I was even able to Drag Knee on my first time out there(busted my dragging knee cherry)... This is due the the instruction of Curt,Bill,Allen,Doug and several more that took the time to help... Thank Maxgs for sponsoring me out there today and thanks again to all that showed me how to REALLY ride... Last note: my tract time was 2:01 which I hear is awesome for the first time EVER being on a track...

awesome man!!! Broke my "knee down" cherry for the first time I evr took the track out at MSRH also Have yet to run it clockwise, but I will be the 12th Not sure what my times were, but I would think I also turned a decent number...these guys are gonna tell ya that draggin knee sucks after a while....yes, if you are constantly trying to push the envelope and go faster...BUT a liesurely ride around the track and scrapin' knee is still fun to me

I just didnt know - I - could actually do what I see the guys doing in MotoGP... but I did it...!!! It came really naturally to me once I realized " wait a minute, I can actully go that low/fast around a turn and the bike sticks " then it was learning how to HARD brake/go into the turn and then throttle out and do it over and over again... The guys really helped me out and again I thank them for that... but it is something I hope to keep doing over and over again... Drag day was great but this is the Pinacle of FUN!!!

P.S... It was MSR-Houston.
P.S.S... It does take a toll on your body so its good to be in decent shape or atleast used to it.

Me too - and as of 2008 it looks like we can! Texas Track Days partners with a track bike rental company, so even if you don't own a sport bike you can take one out there and get your track fix.

To sum it up I'll say this... If you truly want to see what Your bike and Your ability can do take it on the track... It ALL all my years of riding I have never riden my bike like TODAY!!! Take it one there and dig deep inside you and see what you're REALLY made of... It really does separate the Men from the Boys or if your Brena/Candi the Women from the boys/girls

That's what trackheads like us been saying.

Later on, you will realized that street riding is dangerous and give up street riding and get a track bike. Maybe you will ride street sometime but will not be the same after been bitten by the track bug.
