question about crabb river

i see alot of people talking about this road and seems like fun, but i also hear alot of people going down out there, seems to always be the same thing, this one turned to wide and hit another biker or car, im just wondering how are the roads? 2 lane? and is the turns that much of a blind spot?, im a fairly mid experienced rider, i try to be careful out there but i dont want to be on the other end of someone else turning to wide. so can anyone tell me about the roads? appreciate any info thanks

If you ride within your ability, the road is fine. Just like any "country" road though, you will have some issues to overcome and they are unpredictable.

You should take the trip north to the forest or to Orzaks if you want to have a good ride on the twisties. Way better than 2759 or 762 is.

On Crabb river I hit a cat in a corner and almost wrecked, blew up my R1 another time, Max went off the road, and Roger got killed.

F.uck Crabb River. That place is cursed.

It all depends on how stupid ya get out there. It's single lane each way, you can see through every 'corner' there, and the pavement is just about perfect. The road is pretty short, but if ya don't have a lot of time(I live close to it), and wanna have a little fun, it's a good road. I try not to go by George Ranch though. Usually has a couple of cars out that way, and there are guardrails on the outside of every turn.

I think the main reason Crabb River is so bad, is because the corners are not as tight as say the Forest. You tend to build up more speed and it tends to be more than some can handle. The road surface is good, but I prefer the Forest. Crabb has a "loose" feel to it, reminds me of the roads out by Fayettville, just not my preference.
