wtf kinda is this!!!

Shelton, whose father is Judge Pat Shelton, previously had asked to serve time on the weekends and holidays to avoid problems with her school schedule.

Unbelievable. I couldn't believe that was even an option.

I rarely watch the news.. hate it, but I did catch a bit about this case. Some guy, I think it was her lawyer was on there saying that it was 'her decision' to go ahead and serve the time straight through instead of weekends only. *shrugs*

Yeah the chronicle said that too. "oh bless her heart, she realizes what she has done"

The chronicle also said that she decided to serve it all at once b/c she didnt want to lose her scholarship at St. Thomas. I SURPRISED SHE STILL HAS THE SCHOLARSHIP!!! Oh but then again she is the a judges daughter and all she did was kill somebody, thats all:/:

There was a jury on the case and they made the decision. So blame the idiot jury. The parents of her boyfriend didn't want her to do any time. They said it wasn't worth destroying two lives. That is a pretty forgiving family if you ask me. I bet that played a more important role than anything. It is different when the victims family is crying out for justice.

"OK'd the deal, but 21-year-old Shelton turned it down". <--- Wow! First she can get away with asking for accomodations for school and then says nah. If the family is that forgiving to begin with, she shouldn't have everything tailored to her convenience.
