Riding on a wheeliebar is a very strange feeling and can cause you to crash. I would suggest on just learing how to launch. Strap the front and lower the rear, it makes a of a difference. Walsh is riding a 7 second turbo busa with an excess of 500hp to the rear wheel and guess what, no wheelie bar.

Does putting a wheelie bar on a 600 NOT seem odd to anyone else?

I mean on a turbo Busa, maybe.....

But a 600?

'specially when the rider weighs almost as much as the bike?

I mean...

really?

so now I weigh just as much as the bike, huh?

anyways, I was told that It helps people push harder on their launching without having to worry about popping a 12 o-clock. I'm still new to all this, so I'm learning. I'm going by what I have heard.

Robbieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....hey man, if you're new to the drag thing, you prolly don't need to be pushing yourself that hard. Take smaller steps. Work on your gas/clutch technique, and by the time you're taking off from the line with enough power to loop it, you should be in control enough, that you shouldn't need a wheelie bar....though you may want to think about dropping it an inch or so. (it helps a lot!)

You get one of those extention kits that bolts to your swing arm and a different chain, one for the extended and the other for non extended setup, capiche!!!

I dont want to turn my bike into a drag bike by any means!!! I love my twisties!!! Thats why I dont want to modify my bike to where it is designed for track and nothing else. I am interested in these straps I heard about that you place from your front caliper to the upper part of the forks and it compresses your front end ... can someone give me more info and that?
