I'll offer up any jacket he might want at cost, AND I'll kick in $25.00 towards it.

Just let me know.

not to mention his bike is toast so a jacket would be kinda worthless in this situation .

If someone can set up a paypal acct. for Brandon, perhaps we could gather a sizable donation to help him get some kind of inexpensive transportation once he's healed up. I'm in for $50. Brandon's a cool guy; it'd be great if we could help him get back on his feet.

Man, that would be super awesome of you....but I do think you should get some sort of compensation for giving up the car...

This would be one more way to bring the track gurus and stunters together....

O.K. between all of us I'm pretty sure we can come up with $200.00, any idea how much it would take to transfer everything?

From the DMV site:

Title transfer fees are $28, or $33 if you live in an "emissions impacted" county.

Most vehicle registration fees will run about $70, but these vary from county to county based on special assessments approved by local voters.

Not sure if this covers it all.

Double check as they changed rules last year that the taxes are paid against blue book value, not sale. Still shouldn't be much. Just fill out the VTR90 I think it is and take it in.

I'll pitch in a couple bucks if someone sets up paypal, or I'll drop it by the shop when I get back in town...

there still is a $10 gift tax though....so we're good to go on the tax part. registration should be around $50, plate fee i believe is $8 or $10.

so we'll need to come up with around $300.....

he'll also need insurance and a state inspection with out of state form.

i'd help out in the inspection part too, but it's gotta be 1996 or newer

I'll handle the title transfers, if everyone wants to kick in toward the price of acually buy him a car. He needs to be off the streets, keep his talents to the parking lots and such.

Several have mentioned a paypal account. Can we use one of our existing personal accounts, or should one of us set up a seperate account?

I'll just go ahead and post up my Paypal account info for any who'd like to donate towards Brandon's expenses. I'll get the funds to Jet for the car & title transfer and any excess will go to Brandon for medical expenses, etc.

Just make a note in the comments section that this is for Brandon.
