Ferraris and Lambos in that area are like us driving GT40s here. They may be made there, but they don't have them running around like mustangs. Now had you used an argument of BMWs being driven around Germany, that would have beena good comparison. But you can't possibly think in Italy they all have Ferraris as much as the population here owns mustangs. Thats just retarded.
You were using the word "exotic" as in different country to be exotic. Glad you brought up the GT40's, that's exotic because it's rare. To me, exotic means rare not because it is imported. Vette coulda been exotic if it weren't own by so many. Since the zr1 is just a suped up vette, it is hard to tell the difference between the base model, z06, or the zr1, if you are not into this type of things.

what kinda amateur class? auto-x, yeah sti's are quick, but at race tracks, vette's will eat WRX's STi's

in auto-x vettes are in A class, STI's maybe B? C? D?

Couldn't tell you. His dad invented Cable-lok here in Houston, he used to update my dad's inventory online, so I drove his vette home one day after my dad worked on it for him and he was telling me about it. The Vette was almost completely stock. Said he didn't have a problem winning his races, then this Sti showed up and he got frustrated trying to keep up, he started running the lines the Sti were and it is the only time he has ever spun out. Just what the guy told me.

I was going to enter an auto-x and the guy told me A class.

And the Vette beats the STI in a straight line. But the STI will beat the Vette on a track almost every time because the Vette can't take turns at the same speed. STI got too much grip.
