Tons of roads between Fredericksburg and Austin. Google maps is your friend! Maybe worth spending one night in Austin and then the following at a B&B in Fredericksburg if your bringing a lady.

come to 6th street to party, after the sight seeing. Austin has breath taking view when you are on Mt. Bonnell and such areas.

Ride around Lake Travis and DEFINETLY ride up to the OASIS restaurant....It hangs off the side of the mountain(or hill) and the ride up to it is super twistie.....it would be a blast on the bike.....I did it in a vette a few years ago. Good food, sit out on the patio(as you look straight down at the foot of the mountain/water). Good riding in Austin for sure.

Maybe sometime would could plan a big MH group weekend ride to Austin, we could all stay at the Omni, keep the bikes in the parking garage, then all walk to 6th street to party, then we could walk back to the Hotel, get up the next day all eat breakfast and ride home...>Thats a good weekend.

There are some nice newer roads on the northwest side of town towards Lago Vista.

Hwy 77, headed out towards Lampasas is a wide, windy road.

last time I was in Austin, I stayed at a Hampton Inn six blocks from 6th St. It had a parking garage, too.
