new brakes, but they are squeeking a lot???

just had a new set of brakes put on by powersports which was cool cuz i got it at a good price, but why are the brakes squeeking when i apply a little bit of brake power, is there a cleaner i can use to get rid of the sound or do i just need to wait it out?

new brake pads squeak a bit when they first get put in, i think. other than that, i don't know.

Probably you have glazed rotor or the pad doesn't have a shim like it suppose to. You might want to apply squeak stop to the pad maybe that will quiet them down.

Make sure they did not pitch the sheet metal backing plates. I pitched mine and they squeaked like a scalded cat. I had Patrick order me some, I put them on and viola no more squeaking cat.

did you clean the rotors with scotch bright, and bed the new pads, sometimes the squeak though.

Or use higher quality aftermarket pads.
