Talking new k & n air filter on the gsxr today!!!!

got the new air filter on, bike feels wonderful....a little faster too, hope the gas mileage is going to be better, just thought i would type down my voice. yay

No and here is why

The motor will have to work less when on the intake stroke. Less work = better performance *OR* better gas mileage.

It's an "OR" because if you take advantage of the better performance by running the bike harder, you'll not net any better mileage (or you'll lose mileage).
The gain is marginal. You'll be lucky to see a 5% mileage gain I'd say. But 5% is better than nothing

actually in alot of cases on bikes and cars k and n actually robs hp cause the stock filters flows better than the k and n. I would check some forums to see if people have dynoed wit hthe k and n.

On many bikes I've found the stock filter to be just as good as a K&N.

I prefer BMC air filters, they're a better fit and quality and actually do flow more.
