True....very true......but, alot of people can say on here that they wouldnt mind defending thier property or home or loved ones, but when it comes down to it and you have to make that "CHOICE", wether you like it or not, you will feel the outcome of your actions. Wether it be remorse, security or the like........

I'm not saying gun ownership for thugs or tax-paying americans is wrong. , i've tried to sell my rifle on here before. But is was used for hunting, not protecting. If faced with danger where my family or loved ones are going to be killed, I would galdly take that bullet any day and sacrifice myself......

That's the greatest thing you can ever do for someone.......

i once had a teacher that made me think....

man was married to woman for 30+ years. and said the he WOULD NOT jump infront of a bullet for her. why?

death or living in remorse for the rest of your life?
death or living in .
death or living without the one person you cant live without.

he said the "badman" would shoot who he wanted to shoot, but he wouldnt volunteer himself to be shot for her to be let go. makes sense to me.

i would take a bullet for one of my kids. that is about it.

<disclaimer> i'm not sayign i wouldnt be defending my family and those close to me, i'm just saying in the event we were at gunpoint and one of us was going to die, which will likely never happen because my family is full of toopers </disclaimer>

Well, even though we have differences in a slight regard to whom you would protect, we ultimately agree on the same principle.....:dontknow:

I own and carry firearms because I "choose" not to be the victim. It is the choice everyone has to make for themselves, not others.

When there is no other choice that may be true.
BUT, what if after taking that bullet, the person that shot you doen't stop there. He rapes or tortues your wife and kids.

What good did your sacrifice do?

Let's say he shoots you and does leave, what good are you to your family then?

I'd rather make the person who is threatening me pay the ultimate price instead of me or my loved ones.
I'll gladly deal with the consequences in this life or the next knowing my family is safe.

Well said. It comes down to them or me and mine, they will loose or I'll go down at least trying.

Just never was a pacifist.

No, I am living proof that "if you gotta go you gotta go" isn't true.
Had I not been armed it would have been a much different story, but because I was, I had a CHOICE.

As far as your other comments, however o/t they may be;

My crew and I get paid to do good quality work or sell items that have an intrisnic value, we don't take anyones money.

Maybe that's the difference between our viewpoints, PEOPLE do depend on me, both for their livliehood and to service their bikes.

I care if I'm here long term, for my family, for my crew and their families as well as for my customers who have come to depend on us.

As far as the voice of reason and love, practice what you preach.

Lastly you are welcome to your opinion, but don't ever tell me I can't voice mine.

If you don't like it, that's your problem.

If you've got something bothering you, take it to pm's or give me a call, you know how to reach me.

WOW what a discussion.

We have SEVERAL guns around the house, mainly for protection and hunting, but I kinda agree with Javi. This is a should be a place of happiness, talking about guns and weapons makes ppl sound rough.

MAKE LOVE NOT WAR....

I really wish we lived in a world where we did not need guns to protect ourselves. Guns kill :(

Sadly, no "gun" has ever killed anything. Only when one of those "lovely" people pick it up and pull the trigger does bad things happen.

No gun; he would have used an ice pick, knife or any other thing handy to accomplish the same thing.

Don't blame the tool, blame the user who chose the tool to commit the act. Because in the absence of the user, the tool is just that, a tool. Just another inanimate object like the key board you are typing on, or the bricks used to build the house.
