No offense meant to you Marimirez but this is one of my biggest pet peeves when I am riding the bike. Lots of people pull up to a red light and don't stop long enough to even see me coming before they make a right turn. They can legally turn on red but you have to stop completely and check to see if any vehicles are coming. I betcha this causes hundreds of accidents daily.

I can't even run ours in my patrol car unless I've got my overheads on or I'm responding to a call. I beleive HPD has a similar policy.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the cameras.

I understand but as you can see in the pic. The traffic was crossing the opposite direction.

It is possible to reschedule the court date.
I have sat on a couple of traffic court jurys and I can tell you that we always gave the benefit of the doubt to the plaintiff. We felt that if a person went to the trouble of going to court over a traffic ticket that gave some credibility to the idea that maybe they were not guilty.
I really hate the traffic camera idea and I think if enough people fight tickets generated by them that they will go away.

If you get a lawyer, they will reschedule your date for you... and the lawyer will only cost between $55 and $80... and if they get it dropped... then it does NOT raise your insurance rates...

I just want to know if it can be beat... (I heard from a lawyer, that too many people just suck it up... and that most of the tickets can get dropped if they just tried to fight it, but I haven't had the opportunity to try and fight one, yet... and not going to look for the opportunity, if I can help it. )

FYI: sucking it up will cost you more than just $75 in the long run...
