Hello there:

Harley-Davidson engines vs. S&S engines


Any opinions about this topic...??? How they compare..?? Is it possible to use an S&S engine in any Harley-Davidson frame....????

I'm not sure one is better than the other. If i had to guess i would think that S&S is better, but HD is more reliable.

I've seen a S&S in a fatboy before.

There were several models of Harleys which ran S&S motors. I think, though, that they were still owned by AMF during that period because HD just couldn't get it right. Currently, I think the Harley Evo and Revo are more reliable - especially the Revo with all of the R&D which went into it.
