think its funny that just as he hits him with the taser he tells him to get down on the ground, at that point the guy does not have much of a choice but to fall to the ground.

Yeah, initially, I was skeptical that the cop may have been in the right but uh...I think he was fully justified. The fuggin guy came out of the vehicle with an aggressive swagger, had his hand in his pocket and failed to obey commands of a state trooper. I thought the cop was being pretty patient with the guy as well...o well, guessing he learned what was to be learned there. Btw, I don't think he hit him for not signing the citation, that IN MY MIND would be stupid and unwarranted, his dumbass would have had to go to court anyway. He tased him for failing to obey, he was acting in defense...

I've been following this story since it happened.

Cop spent way too much time with this guy. Write him a ticket and send him on his way. After all, It takes two to argue. Cop was too set on 'winning' this argument rather than letting it go so he figured that he'd arrest the guy (that'll show 'em who's boss ... right?).

Considering that the arrest was in fact legal the outcome should've been: Idiot #1 should be charged with resisting arrest, idiot #2 should be fired for excessive force. If you watch the video you'll see that he went for the taser immediately after putting his book on the car. Almost as if he planned on using it all along.

if i remember, you were all about accountability.

so here's the cop, been held up to his superiors and cleared and here you are still whinig about it.

so i guess it's only accoutability if you say it is, glad your not in charge of anything important.

The fact that his superiors covered his a$$ doesn't change my opinion.
