Wet candy... wet suits & Gear, and if it's even moderately cold the wet weather will make it feel worse. Cold bodies, wet roads....not a good recipe for a good, safe ride.

...and who wants to be stuck in a sodden santa suit? (and what would the kiddies think?)

on a side note...garland seems to handle freeway speeds pretty good.

Geeze sorry for mentioning that i guess since I dont own any other vehicle other than my 2 bikes I am used to riding in the rain so it makes no difference to me but I dont want the candy canes to get nasty. I still think we will have to wait till that day becuase the weather in Houston is crazy and hard to predict

I don't see myself doing the suit in the rain; a drowned christmas rat not my idea of holiday cheer... But lets hope for clear skies...

its been iffy for the past couple of days. one day saturday looks like rain, the next the forecast calls for clear skies. we'll know for sure a couple of days before hand. but on the bright side, the temp has stayed at a good 70 degrees for a high. if all else fails, we can move it to sunday.

Yea, I ride almost everyone 2 wheels too. A large portion of the rest of the folx don't though. Ride with rain gear and you somewhat defeat the purpose of the Santa Suits etc... don't wear gear, end up wet and cold.
Experience and common sense should dictate thats a very bad combo for this project.

Patience, weather people, bless their hearts, use too many variables and indirect words to accurately account for motorcyclists. I mean, do we really plan on getting anywhere when we need to on bikes? usually we wait to very last minute then high-tail it like we're escaping armagedon....

Patience..... Besides, people freak out already when they see motorcycles in the rain, I think a drenched santa would be hilarious!
