90% of motorcycle deaths are people who are self taught or taught by family and friends, those are the facts.

Its a legality thing too.

If they take msf and go ride the bike its on them in the event of a crash.

Otherwise its your neck w/ law, and worse-friends and family that may not know about them riding a spare bike of yours. But that's everyone's choice.

I like to answer friends that do ride my extra bike as they jump on it- make sure you got your license on it.... usually they stumble or don't say anything... At least I disclaimed to them. I can leave that back in a parking lot and come back for it later if they get ticketed or such...

yeah ok, but seriously i think if hes mature enough after taking a msf class get like an sv6 its a smooth and easy bike to learn on, a 250 or a 500 is good but when you learn on those you learn quick then you wana go bigger but then you got to get rid of the 250 or 500 which aint hard to sell but a hassle none the less, but its on him...

how do they get those statistics they dont seem even close to me, that just includes deaths if it isnt made up what about paralyzing accidents? i bet the majority of people who have crashed/died have taken msf. especially around here maybe awesome cycles is the problem

i dont have anything against awesome cycles and think they are one of the best msf schools in the area for future reference just dont like how racer x makes everything in the bike world revolve around them

all bullshitting aside, ive been watching you for about a year now, and ive taken up for you, most of the time to no avail, because youre a . i firmly believe that you have good intentions, but at the same time, cant WAIT to belittle people. so that makes you a hypocrite. if you really want noobs to listen to you, try a different approach. what you want is to gain their respect, not to disrespect them. lead in the proper manner, and they WILL follow.

those that want to hear the message will hear it, those that don't won't.

article says "in '04 86% of dead riders had not taken the state safety course"

and there are plenty of articles out there w/ similar results.
