Help Quick B4 tomorrow!

ok so i lowered my moto for the drag racing. Went down about an 1in or a 1/2 in the front & rear.

Do i have to bring it back up to stock height, for my track day tomorrow? Or maybe can i just bring the rear back up to stock and leave the front as is?

leave it the way it is or raise BOTH front and rear, never do only one. 1" is not that bad, more than that is a no go

That is correct Candy; You might scrape a peg or a side stand if you get real aggressive, if you have never scraped before when it was higher, try it, if you are not sure, I will have tools at the track tomorrow and I would be happy to help you adjust it if you need to.

cheers and looking forward to a nice day tomorrow at MSR

Most likely yes.

You have reduced your cornering clearance. If you raise just the rear and leave the front as low as it is, the bike may be unstable. Leave it as is for now. IF you feel like you need it raised, most likely everything you need to raise it up will be available at the track.

you should be fine at your level candy. hang off more so the bike doesn't have to lean over so much. if you're front is lowered more than your rear, your bike will turn in quicker than normal

Ride the way it's most comfortable for you. Those changes are easy to make at the track if need be.

If you have issues, make some changes, but if you feel good, leave it alone.

Ok thanks a bunch guys. I'll leave as is.

I have those fully adjustable bones on the rear which only require the turn of a wrench to lift the back end back up, so figured it would be easier to leave the front as is and bring the rear up.

But it makes sense to leave it as is unless i have a problem.

U guys r super awesome!!!! I do take all critisism and help out there, so feel free to yell at me when u see me doing something wrong or if u see i need some help! I 'd appreciate it!

Candie, just make sure you take it easy for the first few laps. No sense in tossing the bike away.

Have someone take a look at things before you hit the track, I'm sure they'll have plenty of folks that will help you. As I mentioned earlier too, those adjustments are easy to correct, you should be able to get them changed in the 30 minutes in between sessions.

You'll always find good peeps at track days and racing. It's a kinship of sorts.

Have fun! (of course, how could you not? It's a track day, isn't it? )
