When these fighters returned to the ring after their adventures, they came back heartless and got their beat by a less known or "hungry" fighter looking for their time in the sunshine.

I think he makes a good point. I think Maywether (sp) is cute and handsome, oh yeah and he has talent. But the "eye of the tiger" might not be there anymore with all of these "dancing with the stars" type of gigs. Like Rocky 3 (i think) when he gets his whipped by Clubber Lang!
Yep, happened to Roy. Lost his focus and got KTFO by Tarver who in turn had it done to him by Glen Johnson...happens all the time....

I think it's possible but not likely. Hatton's definitely got a fighters chance but I think Mayweather recognizes the importance of this fight and is very keen on the type of legacy he wants to leave. And lets not forget that he has problems with his father and the one burning desire of his is to prove to his father that he is the best p4p fighter in the world (losing to Hatton at this time wouldn't help in achieving such an end). He doesn't believe senior respects him, Hatton will act as another unit of evidence should he win the fight so I think he is still hungry, maybe not as hungry as Hatton, being the up and comer that he is but I don't think Hatton has fought any top tier competition, particular of the class of a Mayweather (Tszyu doesn't count because that was a rather questionable thing there) and Mayweather had weathered a few storms, I think he'll win.

Did you ever see Hagler V Minter,
that was scary, first time I ever saw Hagler and he damned near killed Minter.
Hagler came over to the UK full of venom because he felt he'd been kept waiting for a shot at a tittle.

My faves:

Muhammad Ali (overall technical ability and cerebral nature in the ring)
Jack Johnson (for what he accomplished in the times that he was fighting | First Black World Champ circa 1908)
Marvin Hagler (for his aggressiveness)
Roy Jones Jr. (unseen speed, accuracy and power combined)
Arturo Gatti (Tremendous heart see: Gatti v Ward)
Mike Tyson (Young Mike was the most powerful puncher but the thing I love most was how effectively he went to the body, his technique and body positioning was stellar thanks to Cus D'Amado)

Big big names in there, good choices.

I gotta go,
Marvelous Marvin Hagler
Muhammad Ali
Sugar Ray Leonard (how can someone look so innocent and be so deadly)
Evander Holyfield
Mike Tyson
Roberto Duran
Tommy Hearnes
Chris Eubanks (for his unorthdox approach)
Nigel Benn (the dark destroyer)
Steve Collins
Smokin' Joe Frazier
Mustafa Hamsho (for heart)
There's loads more, so many greats, so hard to list.......
