Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

I have to agree, I'd like to see Hatton win but I don't think he can deal with Floyds speed. I think Floyd is gonna tatoo him ALL night.

Yeah, here's a pretty good article on the fight by Brett from Maxboxing.com: Link

Here is something that he says that makes me feel a ton better for what I was thinking and why:

Thats what i like about fighting........ it may not go as expected...... you can rationalize and break it down to so many aspects.......... but when you go in there and fight ........ things may not always go as planned.... mayweather is very good at adapting early in the fight.... so i expect mayweather in the early rounds......but in the later rounds i expect hatton to start applying his style alot more effectively.......all in all may the best fighter that night win........

If Floyd fights like he did agaist Delehoya. Hatton will destroy him. I don;t think he'll be able to run from Hatton like he did agaist Oscar.

Standing Room Only on 290 and 610 is pretty good.

Very true and very good point. Mayweather is a speedy technical cat and looks to take the fight on points. Hatton on the other hand is a grinder, hard to the body and keeps steady pressure. I feel you on the not knowing exactly knowing how a fight will go because styles make fights. There is no absolutism when it comes to analyzing fights because a fighter like Quinton could beat a Liddell while he had a hard time with a Silva/Rua and those guys would probably be beat by a Liddell. Again, styles make fights. However, more often than not, a fight can be looked at/analyzed in this way- by looking ino a fighters history. What types of fights/fighters has any particular fighter had? How did he do against comparable fighters? You can easily say that a Mayweather will always beat a Gatti/Ward because boxing trumps brawling any day of the week. A Mayweather would have a bit of a harder time against someone who gets in his face and cuts off the ring well, as well as someone who goes to the body well (such as a Hatton), the problem lies in the question of who has Hatton fought that would be comparable to Mayweather? Mayweather on the other hand has had a few Hatton's in his career...and he's still undefeated

Agreed (not necessarily destroy, but beat? Yeah)

Yeah, that's one of his problems. He has constant problems with his hands...that's why he's not a knock out puncher, he breaks his right hand too easily...

Bernard Hopkins was on 97.9 last night and he mentioned a good point about this fight.

He said that in the history of fighters, the ones who have gone "hollywood" and went and did movies and tv shows, etc, kinda lost their hunger for it all.

When these fighters returned to the ring after their adventures, they came back heartless and got their beat by a less known or "hungry" fighter looking for their time in the sunshine.

I think he makes a good point. I think Maywether (sp) is cute and handsome, oh yeah and he has talent. But the "eye of the tiger" might not be there anymore with all of these "dancing with the stars" type of gigs. Like Rocky 3 (i think) when he gets his whipped by Clubber Lang!
