Just thinking, is it possible to put a gear indicator on, say, an '02 R6? Or am I just gonna have to keep count? (what a hassle!)

honestly i rarely use mine anymore. its great for new riders tho, as i was when i bought the gixxa.

The R1200GS also has a gear indicator along with computer readouts that you can scroll thru.

giving you fuel consumption in MPG,
average speed in MPH
time of day
oil Quality.....Yes not a miss-print it checks the oil for contaminants,
Range left on the tank in Miles,
Temperature,
Oil Temp
Fuel Gauge
Switchable (turn it on and off Antilock brakes) (ABS)
Along with two trip meters and an odometer. Tac, and speedo....
