If u don't like rap fine, but platinum plaques that I've seen over the years proves that there are millions of fans out there who do like this particular artist.

Don't knock what u don't really know about !
i know that musical taste is relative, that's why i try not to be Too arrogant about it, but the lack of talent seems pretty evident to me..
There are millions of Britney Spears, N'Sync, Ashlee Simpson, etc. fans, that doesn't mean that they have any musical talent.

Ok but who r u to GAGE their talent is my question... U hold no weight from what I can tell when it comes to the review of musical talent, by any means, nor do I so I don't make an attempt to be the end all to be all on music. I keep my ears open for what ever I hear. Sure ur entitled to an opinion, but on this particular group ur wrong.

Have u ever met pimp c or bun b or listened to an album of theirs. They actually have tons of CONTENT in their music, and it wasn't until "big pimpin" that they actually decided to go "pop" if u wanna call it. it has been strictly hood from jump.

I'm no one special, but I like to think I'm somewhat good with words. Maybe I don't hold any weight, that is - I haven't paid some PR agents to tell everyone I'm good at reviewing music, but I hold weight in my own mind.
I probably have just as diverse a taste in music as you do, and I too keep my ears open, even when it comes to rap.
I haven't listened to their stuff, but I read the lyrics you posted and wasn't very impressed.

yeah, they were trite before they got into psychedelics, but at least they could sing and play instruments well
and they were fairly original, even in the early 60s, compared to what was going on in music at the time.

WOW, well to each their own, no point in wasting my typing skills on this subject.

U have no objectivity at all. Furthermore if all u think is 1 lyric is what the scope of an artist's entire career is made of, i know ur opinion is pretty worthless then.

Now, its just.....new kids can't compare and are just blah.

I know we miss & loved him ...but i'm sorry . I'm already tired of hearing the same stuff over & over & over on the radio ...they didn't play that much of the music b-4. like over & over soljar boy ,alica keys , apple bottom . Never over & over like this ..............So it takes someone to die for them to start playing their music like they were a bigger star then the they keep replaying every F#*king 10 min.
