so what do you do w/ your other 2 fingers? do they go between the lever and throttle?

MOST IMPORTANT PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE

since most people don't practice, then an emergancy arises, they squeeze w/ 2 cuz thats how they normally do it, then they realize they need more pressure cuz this is a real emergancy, so they bring in the other 2 fingers, then they overpower the ft brake cuz they are not used to the addtional power the 2 fingers can add.

yep, and you adjust the lever so it doesn't hit the two on the throttle. And I can lock the front with two just as quick as I can with 4. Clutch is the same way. Upshifts with two or no clutch at all, downshifts take 4.

And you have it correct: PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!!!

It's like any other skill, countersteering etc. If you don't prectice you'll fall back to normal car habits and turn right into whatever you want to avoid.

i started off with 4, but then after awhile i realized i've been using 2. i guess you naturally adjust to how comfortable you are with ur bike and your habits begin to build with it wether its good or bad

Used all four when I first started riding. Now I just use two. Brakes on the 636 are pretty good, and two fingers is more than enoughto skip the rear tire on and off the ground.

you really need to get the index finger in ft of the brake lever. it will effect emergancy braking.
