Final Itinerary Services for Spc. Benjamin J. Garrison , 25, Houston, TX - Saturday December 8th 10:00

Please join us we honor this hometown hero who gave all for you and me. He deserves nothing less than our best.

Please note the services and burial will be at the same location thus this day will be shorter than our normal honor mission. I estimate the mission will be over by 12:30.

We will set up our flag line at the funeral home one hour before the services. Once the services have started we will move our flags to the cemetery behind the funeral home. We will have some down time once the service starts and riders can use the restrooms and rest a bit. Flag bikes (bikes with large flags) will remain at the funeral home and will be in the procession to the cemetery.

A forward advance team (FAST) consisting of all non flag bikes and cages will be lead by Rick Cunningham to set up our flag line before the procession arrives at the cemetery. This will be a short escort right out the back funeral home to the cemetery behind it, no public streets. Flag Bike Riders in the procession will join the flag line after the procession arrives the cemetery.

I am checking with the family to see if they would like to be escorted to the services and may need flag bikes for this. Please watch the mission thread for this information.

Please join us as we Stand Tall & Silent honoring Spc. Benjamin J. Garrison , his family and community. Bring a friend with you who has never attended a PGR mission, they will thank you afterward.

No. It's not usually the time to be giving a what someone is riding. If you want to ride the Oscar Meyer weiner, whatever, as long as you're there for support.

There will always be soldiers of ours stationed around the world. Soldiers are always dying while serving and even after their service. They will always be regarded with respect and honor no matter where/if we are at war. So basically, as long as we have a military, PGR will ride/support/show respect for them.
Thanks Justin! I was about to Reply with the same info.

Guy's, note the mission protocol tab at the SE Texas PGR link...

http://www.setexaspgr.com

As previously stated, brand, color, political affiliation, etc, etc are non issues. This is not about you and I, it's about fallen volunteers from here in our community. Perhaps you might have even gone to school with one of them and not remember the name?

Hey man, even if you can't ride, you can cage it. We're there to honor these soldiers who gave all for us. Cagers stay to the back, but we still need them to hold the flags, stand tall and silent, to honor the fallen. What matters is you're there.

If you can make Saturday, we don't expect it to be that long, since the Funeral Home is where the service will be held, and the cemetery is directly behind it. We're expecting to be done by 1230.

For All of you who showed up today... Thank You! Your presence made a big difference and meant alot to your new PGR brothers and sisters, and especially the family of Spc. Garrison. We had a great turnout overall for a weekday mission.

It was great to finally meet you (Marishka, J-Row, M5022, Streetcowboy, Tango, & Dub), and I look forward to riding with you again. Hope you can all make it this Saturday as well.

Here are the 2 pics we took from my camera, but I forgot to set the exposure, so it came out a little too dark. I fixed it as best I could:

You guy's are totally AWESOME!!!!!! Nice meeting you all. Stopped by the shop on my way home, scoot was up on the lift but not looking good for getting it back in time for Saturday's mission.

I'd be interested to hear your impressions of the first mission? Like JohhnD and the Chaplain said, the coming home missions are the most emotional.

I was great to meet everyone, and I'm so glad that I finally did this. I'll be sure to attend as many of the PGR activities as possible from now on. It was definately emotional....had I known that I was going to end up standing right behind Spc. Benjamin Garrison's family I would have asked someone to switch places with me. Being up close to the family and hearing every emotion from them made it hard to not well up and shed a few tears. My heart really goes out to the family during this time. Thank you Rob and Dub for posting this and reminding us all of the Patriot Guard Riders.

, I got a flat tire last night on the way home. I'm not going to make it Saturday unless I can get a tire on by then... (I'd cage it, but can't do that either)
