Just get your rpm's up and roll out on the clutch. As you roll off the clutch roll on the throttle so the rpm's don't dip. Thats bout it and keep your weight forward to keep the wheel down

It's all about clutch control. U let it out to quick ur wheelie'ing the 1st 60ft, u hold it in to long ur slowly going thru the 60ft. Gotta keep those rpm's up the entire time immediately after take off to. I know some people, will stage revved up and then as they take off the rpm's fall back down.

Honestly go to the 1/8 mile track, HMP. It's the best place to learn to launch b/c it's a short track, and it's not very crowded until the night time. When u run they print u a receipt that tells u everything about ur run, reaction time, 60ft, total e/t. U adjust as u go to bring the numbers down

I normally stage at 4 or 5 grand and let him rip. u can go higher, but i'm still not lowered so it's the safest for my bike for now

The tree is the thing to watch...you need to start to leave on the last yellow. I used to practice my starts for road racing at the drag strip and I must say that it made a huge difference. The rest is just practice.

You need to stop drag racing if you can't afford clutches. IMHO

I went 50,000+ miles on the same clutch with a lot of drag racing. I was running 9.92 @ 146mph. This was on my 2001 Gixxer 1K. I never had a lick of problems. Once the clutch grabs, let the lever all the way out and you shouldn't have an issue. I have seen people use the clutch well past the 60ft marker. I was like , no wonder people eat clutches.

I'd rather "slip" a little back tire than clutch.. but that's just me!
