so i just got hit by an SUV

going north up wilcrest just past briar forest. in the left lane, fairly close behind an SUV in front of me. another SUV is coming across the street from a parking lot on the right. she doesnt see me. SCHMACK!

she hit t-boned me doing no more than 15, i was prolly doing 30 ish, i didnt even go down. but i felt like my ankle was hit by a baseball bat. my back end squirreled out for sure, somehow i kept it up. i stopped and pulled off. she parks across the street.

i am as a mother ****er at this point. i start chewing this lady out (not cussing, just making her feel bad) she acts like she is innocent, so i ask for her insurance info. she asks for mine also. at this point, im like oh . my insurance ran out like 2 days ago. we go walk over to my bike..

i got a couple holes in my exhaust where her bumper shredded it. other than that no damage. we talk for a minute, and i think...better just get some cash outta the deal and be done with it. if cops get called or insurance companies wanna get , id probably be worse off. so i tell the beyatch the ins. co. is gonna call it $500 or more, and i can probably find a exhaust for $100 at a yard or on ebay, install it myself. she plays ball. score.

$100 aint much, i thought about askin for more (im sure she could afford it) but i didnt really have negotiating room, and i wanted to be done with it. i got other to do. my ankle doesnt really hurt, ive hurt it worse falling on stairs.

we talked for a minute and she admitted she is always in a rush. though she maintained she didnt see me. i told her, i know you didnt see me thats the point. lol. slow down. but now if nothing else, im ok, $100 richer, and i do think she felt bad and will slow down.

i dont think my exhaust is that screwed up either, bike still runs fine, i dont think it puntured the inner baffle. does sound a bit different at idle.

if gonna put this money towards an engine for my next bike. i really needed the cash. funny, gods works in mysterious ways.

is such a screwball, he is like thinking, "hmmm...chris needs cash, and hes been good lately, i think he deserves it. how can i get it to him...oh heres a chick in too much of a hurry, lets have her hit him with a TRUCK..it works out for everyone in the end"

...gee...thanks,

ya, ankle is a little sore, might hurt worse tomorrow, but nothing broken or whatever.

lady was not hot. some 80 year old might think she was hot, but thats about it. she looked like my art teacher from high school.

im gonna have to remember the play dead bit, except i doubt they would stick around...

Well I am glad you are ok, but the insurance thing won't really matter in your case. I had the same problem two yrs ago with an accident. Mine had expired and her company didn't even worry about it, they talked to me about it. You should get what you can to at least get you a new one, even if you want to go stock. I am not sure what type of exhuast you have on, but i would at least tell her a ball park and go to a shop to get a quote on new one. then if you get a deal online hey keep a lil extra might be able to add something else. That is just me, I would get something out of it but without getting greedy about it. I mean could have been much worse in your casse, this can be a leason for her to look twice.
