Why the heck aren't you riding Nut? I thought you were a real biker. I've ridden in snow, it's not that bad!

just a little FYI-Cross country skiing is absolute ! Good workout yes...fun, absolutely NOT!!! We did cross country skiing in high school during the winters and I must say that it was the worst winter "sport" I have ever participated in.

My bike's winterized.
Not running for another 3-4 months.

Whenever I can afford, I'll pick up a dirtbike to ride on ice though.

Is it as bad as jogging?
Then I'm in.

actually, I enjoy jogging (as long as I'm losing weight) as a means to exercise and relax, but x-country skiing SUXORS! Especially if you have ever tried downhill skiing. Downhill Skiing is FUN (even if it is on a hill vs. a mountain)...and snowboarding is even better All of them give you a good workout, but fighting uphill on 8 foot skates sounds boring and way too much work.

I agree. The only cross country skiing I do is the elipitical(sp) thing at gym cranking my usb player watching a game show. I hate pushing skiis even getting on a lift.

Pictures are pretty nutmeg but the riding looks like it would blow. I did almost 100 miles yesterday and even sweated a little. Poor nutmeg.

get a snowboard and a 3 - 5 meter traction kite. learn to control the kite and let it pull you on the snowboard. i've always wanted to do that!!

P.S. you'll need a big field for this!!
