there was an article not too long ago in Super Streetbike about how to drag race a bike......with ricky gadson.....might just have to dig that issue up.

I understand that the good ones rev to the bikes peak torque RPM for launch, but it seems like on the 1K's wheelies are a problem so on a stock bike why not launch in 2nd gear and rely on the torque and HP at the big end?

Just thinking out loud.........

Make sure to bring straps for the front end. They will help more than u imagine. Just keep your weight forward and you should be good to go from there.

hey, someone said that you dont need the kill switch tether strap if you not running below a 9 ... but I have never drag raced my bike, I have no idea what my GSXR 600 does ... can someone tell me if its nothing i need to worry about?

you will most likely only need boots that cover the ankles, jacket, gloves and helmet. If you don't think you will run that fast.. but if you have full leathers it doesn't hurt seeing it will be cold...
