Its got to be leather, it doesn't have to be a motorcycle jacket though, any leather jacket. Also leather gloves, over the ankle boots, kill switch lanyard, chain guard.

Mesh and textile jackets don't do in a slide, thats why leather is required.

Guys you can't get around this stuff, they have these rules for a reason..>So get to shopping and get the stuff you need to race. You still have a couple days.

I don't see what the big deal is about the lanyard?

They'll be plenty of us with leather jackets if you need to borrow. I usually wear a 46, if I wear the new one it fits a little larger.

I don't have leather pants though it that's a requirement.

like zxalan said, wear a regular leather jacket.

U remember me though, right? The new alpinestar I have is an XL cause of my shoulders.... I adjust the waist all the way in and still have an inch around me... Check alpinestar online for girth/chest and see if it'd fit.

I was gonna wear my JR leather but I'll bring the alpinestar if needed. Lemme know

Yeah, I remember you ... I appreciate it, and I'll try it on, but I doubt that it would fit. I have an alpinstar textile jacket and its a 3xl.

IS your jacket all black or is it colors? If its all black, they may let it slide, they might not notice what it is. If its colors, they will likely see its textile. Don't you have just a regular leather jacket like you would wear to grandma's for christmas?

Lots of the time, the tech guy doesn't check this stuff THAT hard, he just wants to see that you have it. I have never actually even had them test my kill switch...you could probably just wrap it around the clip on. Make sure you have a chain guard though, they will check that.

If you can fit into an XLT First Gear full armored, I got ya' covered... but at 9 lbs, it's not the most ideal for drag racing...

I just want to get on the strip. like i was telling the guys last night, Im not going out there to try and whoop people on the drag strip ... i want to go for the experience and my goal is to master the launch and speed shifting by the end of the day.
