What does Christmas mean to you?

I don't want to spark any debate here but with all this talk we get year after year of how Christmas is falling apart and losing it's "true" meaning, I wanted to get an idea of how everyone felt. To me, Christmas is all about family. I do believe in and all, but you could say I'm not a real religious person(read: not much at all). Christmas is an amazing time because it brings families together, which to me is more important than remembering why it was started. My family is here with me now, and I live for now, so I'd much rather be close with them than anything/anyone else. Like I said, not trying to start debate. I just want to hear other's views.

Christmas is the time of year when people get crazy and yell and scream if a store does not have XYZ item in stock. Also, lots of pushing and shoving and running you over in parking lots. And what's up with Black Friday? Camping out on the sidewalk in front of a store just so that you can be the first in line to buy little Timmy the newest snazziest gizmo? Crazy.

Christmas also means bringing the whole family together so that they can annoy the out of one another. Not to mention and complaining that you didn't get them the "right" gift. Then there's the holiday dinner parties...if you aren't Martha Stewart you might as well go kill yourself now! Christmas just isn't Christmas without a perfectly decorated "designer" tree and dinner table place settings from the finest knick-knacks money can buy.

Ahhhhhhhh....yeah.

Christmas.
