rider down 1960 near 45

Rider and his girl down just west of cypress station on 1960, bike was heading east towards 45 but was laying on its left side facing west bound traffic, looks like he tired to avoid someone or something happened and he laided it down. sad part is , both were only wearing helmets :( he had a neck brace on and was getting put on the board when i rolled by i was going to stop and see if everyone was ok, but cops were waving me on.

btw looked like a red honda cbr600rr or maybe a 1000rr older white guy wearing a red shirt and his chick was skinny , wearing jeans and a blue t-shirt. with a pink helmet.
hope she is ok.

Wasn't hot today...why no gear? Not that hot is any reason to ride naked. Sad to hear that a rider went down. Hope they both end up fine.

I had a guy on a red Honda blow past me in the turning lane through a light that was just about to turn green around 1960 and Red Oak (like 2 blocks down from Cypress Station) when I was on my way back home from Patrick's...if it's the same guy, then when I saw him he was riding like a complete ****ing idiot, and probably caused whatever accident he was in.

I don't remember if they were 2 up, I really didn't pay a whole lot of attention or give it any thought after he/they blew past me.

Two of my close friends that I used to ride with were hit by cars on 1960 on two seperate occasions(not their fault either). Luckily they both survived, but it's made me really nervous riding down there. I usually avoid it unless I have to go to Motorcycles Unlimited for something. The things you do for good service these days.

ouch! sometimes when I see guys with their girlfriends wearing only a helmet as the only form of safety gear, makes me think when the inevitable crash is going to happen. Because it's only a matter of time before they learn their lesson dearly, thinking about the consequences makes me shudder... literally.
having said that, I hope they are ok. I once saw a guy and girl that kind of fit that description at pp1, however, I didn't see what bike they were riding so I don't know if they are the same individuals.
I'm certain that girl will always have something with her to remember his boyfriend...roadrash!

While on the subject of wearing gear and the dangers of FM1960....as I left Motorcycles Unlimited today... at the closest intersection there was a dude in the turn lane on a cbr 600 wearing gloves but had his helmet strapped to his seat...I thought to myself if he was to get in an accident his head would get crushed like a grape but what pretty hands he would have!...lol

Let's all think about everything we are doing & take a few more sec.s to be as safe as we can !! I hope both are fine ...but if he was riding like a jackazz then he is the type of rider that makes it tough on all of us when we get pulled over just 4 the of it sometimes ..everyone be SAFE !!!
